What Inspired American Custom DIY Teaching Old School Strong
American Custom DIY is a place for people to better themselves in mental health, career, self-sufficiency, mind, body, and soul.
I believe that this is needed in life today to help people to have a place to go to feel good about themselves and to help each other. With suicide rates being what they are today, the old and young both need a place to go that can help them grow, to feel fuller in life, and keep busy and learn that they have a purpose.
American Custom DIY uses a variety of sources in New England to get individuals involved so that everyone that takes a class feels fuller and more self-sufficient in life.
We hope that everyone who leaves our classes feels their worth and knows what they have to offer in the world.
Meet Lucy
Prior to being a business owner, I worked for JC Penny and Marshal Fields being assigned to different salons which were struggling. My job was to turn these operations around and help make them profitable. After working for corporate America to help these struggling locations, I decided to start my own business.
I owned what was the second nail school in the State of Illinois for two years. I then moved to Limington Maine with my family where I opened a Nail Salon and rented a booth. I operated from that location for 9 years before I was able to build a home and run the business from my home for another 11 years (total of 20 years of experience running a profitable business).
